Student Housing at Corpus Christi

During this out of town rotation, students stay at the Baypoint Resort apartments. Students are typically housed 2 students per apartment based on the gender of the students. The apartments are 2 bedroom/ 2 bath units with standard furnishings. Each bedroom door is lockable from the inside. The apartment complex has a 24 hour business center with a computer, fax, and internet access. A laundry facility and fitness center are also available on site for residents.
DEPOSIT REQUIRED
Each students is required to leave a $50 deposit check and sign a housing agreement when initally checking into the apartment. The apartments are to be in to their original state of order and returned in an acceptable condition (eg. clean, no major repairs) when checking out at the end of the rotation. If the apartment is not returned to its original state and left in an acceptable condition when the student checks out, the $50 deposit check for both students occupying the apartment will be cashed to cover the cost of cleaning and repair.

TRAVEL TO CORPUS CHRISTI
Students assigned to Corpus Christi are required to attend orientation in San Antonio on the first day of the clerkship. Immediately following orientation, students are expected to be packed and ready to leave. Students are expected to report to the program coordinator, Laura Garcia , at the Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital, by 3:30pm to receive apartment keys and a short orientation.
