Generating New Knowledge to Improve the Health of South Texas
STARNet is a practice-based research network (PBRN) that "conducts research for family physicians by family physicians". Our administrative office is based in the Department of Family & Community Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
STARNet practices extend from Austin, to Del Rio, including Pleasanton, Castroville and the greater San Antonio area. We plan to expand our network to include practices in the Lower Rio Grande Valley
Our Mission is to conduct and disseminate practice-based research that results in new knowledge and improves the health of patients in South Texas.
