Medical Student Education
Programs are designed to give students a solid understanding of the principles and philosophy of our specialty. Family Medicine is a primary care specialty that provides the first contact, ongoing and preventive care to patients of all ages. This includes comprehensive, continuous, cost-effective, and relationship-centered care, in the context of family and the community. Our faculty participate in a variety of education programs that begin with the Synthesis Course of the CIRCLE Curriculum for first and second-year students and continue with the Family Medicine Clerkship for third-year students and elective courses for the fourth-year students.
Our Vision: To be a national leader in educating students in Family Medicine in patient centered care.
Our Mission: To teach and model the principles and value of Family Medicine in the health care system to students.
